CHELSEA have ended pre-season on a high with a stunning 4-1 win over AC Milan at Stamford Bridge.
Andrei Coubis’ fifth-minute own-goal gave the Blues a perfect start as they took an early lead.
Moments later, Joao Pedro doubled his side’s advantage as his great start in Chelsea colours continued.
Coubis’ afternoon went from bad to worse after he was shown a straight red card for denying Joao Pedro a clear and obvious goal-scoring opportunity on 18 minutes.
Just over the hour mark, Liam Delap made it 3-0, slotting in from the penalty spot before AC Milan got one back through Youssouf Fofana.
With seconds left on the clock, Delap got his second of the afternoon to wrap up proceedings as Chelsea end preparations for the new season with the VisitMalta Weekender trophy.
