A MAJOR motorway has closed following a serious crash which has sparked “severe disruption” for thousands of drivers.
Delays are being experienced on the route into Croydon from the M25, with emergency services called to the scene this morning.

The crash occurred on the A23 near Merstham at 6.45am on Sunday, with traffic building up.
National Highways have shut the road while accident investigation work takes place, with no known re-opening time.
The M23 northbound from Merstham to Coulsdon has been closed, as well as the northbound section connecting the M25 to A23.
Traffic is being diverted via local routes.
