His family said he has a newborn son, less than two months old.

Brandon last made contact with his brother Tristan Parfitt just two hours before he was last seen in his home town of Ebbw Vale, South Wales.

His family became increasingly worried for Brandon’s welfare as he “suffered with low mental health“.

They desperately banded together to search for him for the sake of his young son.

But in a statement on Tuesday evening, a spokesperson for Gwent Police said: “We received a call that the body of a man had been found in Pontygof, Ebbw Vale, on Tuesday 19 August.

“Formal identification has yet to take place, however, the family of Brandon Parfitt, have been notified.

“Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this difficult time.”

An inquest is due to be held.
