The 28-year-old was reported missing on Sunday with his relatives banding together to search for him.

His family became increasingly worried for Brandon’s welfare as he “suffered with low mental health.”

Police later confirmed that a body found on Tuesday was Brandon’s and informed his relatives.

His brother, Tristan Parfitt, has now issued a heartbroken tribute to Brandon, vowing to take care of his brother’s young son.

Tristan wrote: “Just why? I promise I’ll try to care for Tommi. I love you always.

“We may never share it but I love you bro. RIP bro.

“I f****g love you & miss you already – I needed to see you before you go to your happy place & it’s not a great picture but I smiled whilst looking over you because I know that little boy will know how great you was & how much you wanted to be there.

“It’s how you’d want me to be – I promise I’ll look after mam I love you & get a can raised with uncle Lee, Conor and the rest of the family bro.”

Tristan later said: “Brandon Parfitt always be my big brother. I’ll be the best uncle to Tommi-Lee I can be.

“I hope you’re resting now I hope you like the balloons off the little man also.

My big angel bro thanks for coming through in spirit this morning I know your sorry, love you.”

His grieving family issued an appeal for him to return home “for the sake of his newborn son.”

Speaking before the heartbreaking discovery of his brother’s body Tristan said the family were “going insane.”

He added that Brandon’s relatives “just want to know if he is alive.”
