The horrific incident happened on a residential road in Sparkbrook just after 6pm on Tuesday, August 19.

A 22-year-old man arrested in connection with the collision was charged with dangerous driving, driving without an insurance as well as possession of a bladed article, cops said.

In the footage, the motor can be seen travelling at speed down the road, narrowly missing another car before losing control.

It then veered into a row of parked cars lining the pavement as pedestrians can be seen walking down the street.

One of the cars was hit with such force that it smashed through a garden wall and came to rest on its side.

It was just inches away from crashing through the front window of a nearby property.

The driver and a passenger can be seen exiting the smoking vehicle as a crowd of horrified residents and onlookers rush to the crash site.

They can be seen to be walking away from the vehicle which left a trail of carnage in its wake with debris scattered across the street.

Emergency services were called and raced to the scene with one man left injured after the crash.

His injuries were not believed to be serious before he was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

West Midlands Police said in a statement on Tuesday that the driver “ran away” from the scene but was quickly located in a nearby road.

A 22-year-old man has now been arrested following the collision, they said.

A spokesperson for the force said yesterday: “We were called to reports of a car crashing into multiple vehicles before hitting the wall of a house in Long Street, Sparkbrook, at around 6pm on Tuesday.

“Muhammed Ali was arrested nearby, and has been charged with dangerous driving, driving without insurance, and possession of a bladed article.

“The 22-year-old was remanded in custody to appear before Birmingham Magistrates today.”

The Sun also reported on another horror crash involving “multiple” pedestrians earlier this week in Kent.

A driver reportedly careered into pedestrians in a car park where a toddler succumbed to his injuries and died at the scene.

The horror unfolded close to the Whitstable seafront, a popular summer destination for holidaymakers and day trippers.

Two Brits also died this week after a family flipped their car in a horror highway crash in Turkey.

The family were visiting their hometown of Aksaray in the Central Anatolia region of Turkey when the tragedy unfolded.
