FRENCH MASTER 3

MASTER plan. Smart dual winner this season, including at Royal Ascot. Flopped in Group 1 last time but trip and ground suit and back in handicap with solid place claims.

HIPOP DE LOIRE 4

HIPOP in tune. Fifth last year when unlucky in running. Good return at Roscommon then won over hurdles. Stays well, handles ground and can go close again.

YASHIN 1

SHIN and out. Sagaro winner in April but two heavy defeats in Group races since. Well beaten here last year and hard to fancy.

QUEENSTOWN 2

ON the Town. Good form behind top-class stayers in 2024 but hasn’t fired this term. Blinkers back on, stays the trip and Moore rides. Needs old spark.

KIHAVAH 3

HAV a go. Second last year off 9lb lower. Won at Musselburgh in April and unlucky at Newmarket since. Deserves another crack at this but needs a personal best.

ETHICAL DIAMOND 4

DIAMOND geezer. Took the Duke of Edinburgh at Ascot on first Flat run this term. Stays well, acts on ground, lightly raced this season and fresher than many rivals. Big chance.

LONDON CITY 2

DON and dusted. Course winner in 2024 but failed to make impact in stronger races this year. Handles conditions, stays trip but needs to find more.

ONESMOOTHOPERATOR 1

ONE gone. Below par this term but previous York form strong. Trip suits and capable on firm but not in best heart.

SUBSEQUENT 1

SUB off. Listed winner last season but has gone backwards. Stays but out of form.

REAL DREAM 2

DREAM on. Has stamina and acts on ground. Bits of form in good handicaps but this is a taller order.

ROARING LEGEND 1

ROAR bore. Fair fourth over trip at HQ last time but up in weights and must find best.

STRESSFREE 3

FREE hit. Haydock winner in May and excuses at Goodwood when poorly positioned. Stamina to prove but looks overpriced if getting home.

SHADOW DANCE 3

SHADOW boxer. Won here over 1m4f and likely to stay. Should be sharper for Goodwood comeback, so interesting if bouncing back to best.

ENEMY 2

OLD Enemy. Once classy but hasn’t shown much this season. Needed the run at Ascot latest and cheekpieces now on.

SIEGE OF TROY 5

SIEGE breaker. Consistent filly from an in-form yard. Third in Irish Group 3 last time was a career best. Goes on firm, stays well and handy weight. Player.

ONEFORTHEGUTTER 3

ONE to watch. Won well at HQ latest. Up 5lb but shapes like this trip will suit. Bit more to find but thriving. Shortlisted.

ASCENDING 4

DING dong. Progressive handicapper who made it three on the bounce in Ascot Stakes. Effective at today’s trip and acts on firm. Yard won last year. Respected.

ALMOSH’HER 3

HER we go. Bolted up here in May but disappointing at Ascot in stronger race. Still unexposed and yard in form. Could improve for this trip.

MAJESTIC WARRIOR 3

WARRIOR in battle. Lightly raced and impressed after break with easy Thirsk win. Clearly talented, stays and more to come. Place shout.

CHARLUS 2

LUS needs a bus. Won three of first four but form levelled off. Trip an unknown but shaped okay last time. Needs more.

FLEETFOOT 2

FOOT long. Won nicely at Gowran latest but this is a lot tougher. Yard respected.

MR PERCY 3

MR big. Lightly raced on Flat and fair Galway Hurdle run. Trip suits, goes on the ground and a lively outsider.
