Arrested man, 24, on the run after escaping from cops during treatment at hospital

A BURGLARY suspect is on the run after escaping from police while receiving treatment at hospital.

Jon Michael Lee, 24, was arrested on suspicion of driving offences and burglary but taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford.

It was there he managed to slip away from officers and escape on Friday afternoon.

Lee was last seen on Headley Way, Oxford, after fleeing at around 3:45pm.

The escapee is described as a white male, around 5ft 11ins tall, with short brown hair, brown eyes, a short moustache and a small beard.

He has a tattoo of two cherries on his left cheekbone.

Detective Inspector Marcia Hardy, said: “We are carrying out extensive enquiries to trace Jon Lee.

“We would ask anyone who sees him to please call 999 rather than approaching him, or if you have information as to his whereabouts please call 101.”
