Schoolboy, 14, arrested after man in his 50s is stabbed at popular UK music event

A SCHOOLBOY has been arrested after a man was stabbed at a popular music event.

The victim, a man in his 50s, sustained a stab wound to his leg after several people were assaulted at the Weedon Weekender music event in Northamptonshire shortly after 9pm on Saturday.

Crowds had gathered at the Weedon Weekender event on Saturday night before disorder broke out, police said

Police say disorder broke out at the event, hosted in Jubilee Fields in Weedon, leading to the assault of several people.

Cops arrested a 14-year-old boy on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent, violent disorder and assault by beating.

He has since been released on police bail pending further enquiries.

The Weedon Weekender event is popular with teenagers, and Northamptonshire Police is seeking footage from people who may have filmed the disorder on Saturday or shared it on social media.
