A SUSPECT who is wanted in connection with the stabbing to death of a young dad is thought to have fled the country on fake documents just hours after the attack.

Blue Stevens, 24, was fatally knifed on July 9 in front of his partner while outside the five star Park Tower Hotel and Casino, near Harvey Nichols in Knightsbridge, London.

The alleged killer is still at large, nearly seven weeks on from what detectives believe could have been a “targeted attack”.

Met Police though are pursuing a number of lines of inquiry, including the possibility the murder was a botched watch robbery as Blue was wearing a gold timepiece at the time of the murder.

Blue and his partner, Yve Hale, were on their way to Nusr-Et, the steakhouse run by celebrity chef Salt Bae, for dinner when they were confronted by the attacker, just yards from the famous eaterie, according to the Daily Mail.

A hotel worker told the media outlet the couple were walking on the pavement when the knifeman stabbed Blue in the chest with his girlfriend then trying to save his life.

The Met Police announced on July 14 that they had arrested three men, aged in their 20s, in connection with the murder.

Two men were held when cops swooped on an address in Hounslow, West London, on Saturday.

One of the men was held on suspicion of conspiracy to murder and remains in custody.

The other man was arrested on suspicion of murder and has subsequently been released on bail pending further inquiries.

The third man was arrested at an undisclosed location on suspicion of assisting an offender and was quizzed by detectives.

All three were bailed and, so far, no further arrests or charges have come.

Charlie Sheridan, Blue’s mum, said on Facebook last night: “They [police] know who did it.

“He left the country on fake documents hours afterwards. Gone.

“Makes me sick to my stomach.’”

Ms Sheridan has made a number of emotional tributes to her son since his death, which came just a few days before his 25th birthday on July 29.

On August 8, Blue was given an emotional send off by his family, driving his body past his grandparents’ home and through Yateley.

In a social media post the night before his burial, Ms Sheridan said: “Going to bed knowing that I’ve got to bury my child tomorrow. Oh my god. This can’t be real.

“This can’t be true. Please god. Not my handsome blue boy.”

She wrote in another post: “Whoever took my sons life took mine as well.”

While in a third she added: “I was robbed. We have all been robbed. Not just of him, but of who we were before.

“Still no one paying for what they took.”

Blue comes from a family of famous boxers.

His grandfather was the celebrated heavyweight Les Stevens, who took bronze at the 1970 Commonwealth Games.

Les had a 15-fight winning streak having turned professional and retired in 1979.

Over his career he notched up 23 wins and five defeats.

Blue’s grandfather then spent 40 years of his life training boxers and died in 2020 from Covid-19.

According to pals, Blue loved buying the “sparkliest” watches and was pictured on social media recently wearing a Datejust 36mm oystersteel and gold Rolex, valued at £12,250.

Cops are investigating if the incident was a targeted attack and say the theft of his watch is still a line of inquiry.

Detective Chief Superintendent Christina Jessah, who leads policing in Central West London, said in a recent statement: “These arrests mark a significant milestone in this complex and unfolding murder investigation.

“We continue to progress at pace. While we retain an open mind around motive, one line of enquiry is now that this may have been a targeted attack.

“Increased police patrols remain active in and around the Knightsbridge area. Please do speak with an officer if you have any questions or concerns.”

The Sun Online has contacted the police for further information.
