POLICE have launched an investigation after a woman was allegedly “pulled into an alleyway” and sexually assaulted by a man armed with a blade.
The terrifying incident is said to have occurred as the victim was walking home along Saunders Street in Kent yesterday.
Cops said a man reportedly pulled the victim into an alleyway where she was subjected to a serious sexual assault.
The suspect was said to be wielding a knife.
He was disturbed by a dog while carrying out the harrowing attack and fled the scene.
Kent Police are desperately trying to track down the suspect who is described as being black, in his 50s, more than 6ft tall, with black hair that was short at the side and curlier on top.
It is thought he was wearing dark jogging bottoms and dark blue Nike trainers.
Officers raced to the scene after receiving a report of the alleged sexual assault.
An investigation into the incident has since been launched with detectives desperately appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
Kent Police said: “Residents with private CCTV and motorists with dashcam who were in the area at the time of the incident, are asked to check for footage that may assist.
“Anyone with information should call 01303 289600, quoting reference 46/148450/25. Dashcam and CCTV footage can be submitted online.”
