A BOY died after being mowed down by a bus outside a hospital, an inquest has heard.
Zaahir Jan Feizi, 4, was hit by the vehicle in a horrific collision outside QEQM Hospital in Margate, Kent, on August 7.
Despite being rushed back into the hospital, doctors tragically could not save his life.
Paying tribute to her son, Azaria Green shared her heartbreak on a GoFundMe page, aiming to fund funeral expenses.
She said: “I wish you were in my bed tonight, cuddling.
“I love you, my boy.
“I am so lost. He was my son, my most beautiful little Jan.
“I don’t know what to do. I can’t believe you are gone from me. I can’t believe they couldn’t save you.
“I can’t believe this happened. I didn’t even get to tell you how much I love you.”
Today, an inquest was opened into Zaahir’s death.
Coroner Ian Potter said: “At two minutes past four, a collision occurred between a single-decker bus and a child pedestrian.
“The Stagecoach bus was conducting a loop passenger service.
“The bus was travelling up hill towards the A&E entrance, travelling at 5mph.
“As it passed the entrance, for reasons unknown, a child pedestrian ran into the road and collided with the front nearside.”
Zaahir’s cause of death was given as multiple injuries, and the inquest has been adjourned to continue at a later date, KentOnline reports.
