KSI is set to undergo surgery on his hand before plotting a return to boxing – having seen a mega-fight against Conor McGregor collapse.
The YouTuber-turned-boxer has been plagued with the injury ever since his last bout in October 2023 – when he lost to Tommy Fury.

He has since had to pull out of a two-on-one HANDICAP fight as well as a grudge match against MMA star Dillon Danis in the period since.
And after illness prevented KSI from facing rival Danis in March – the Britain’s Got Talent judge has decided to fix his busted hand.
He is set for surgery in November and his manager Mams Taylor told SunSport: “The recovery just depends, we’ll see how it goes.
“We’ve been given a wide range of how long it could take. It could take a couple of months, it could take up to six months.
“But he’s a healthy, young, fit young man and his recovery time should be quicker than most.”
KSI’s boxing future is still in doubt after suffering setbacks in his return and has refused to confirm if he will ever fight again.
But Taylor, who co-founded Misfits Boxing with KSI, added: “I think if the challenge is right and it excites him and it excites the fans then he will want to fight.
“But, it would have to be the right fight. It’s got to be a big fight. He said these words, ‘Look, one thing we’ve forgotten is I’m a big-game hunter. I don’t want to just fight for the sake of fighting, I want to make a spectacle.’”

KSI was also left gutted when he saw a deal to face controversial UFC superstar McGregor in America fall apart at the 11th hour.
Powerful Saudi Arabian boxing chief Turki Alalshikh was leading talks for the pair to fight – but McGregor walked away from the table.
Taylor revealed: “We were told it was done. Conor had agreed with Turki, we agreed with His Excellency as well after a week of negotiations.
“We came to the table, we made it happen and as far as we were concerned it was a done deal.
“Turki is the one guy to persuade Dana White to let Conor fight out of contract.
“That’s why it made perfect sense, JJ was beyond excited and I think it took the wind out of his sail a little bit on top of the injury.
“It was a bit like, ‘You know what? Let me just tend to this injury.’ And that’s where he’s at right now.”
McGregor was allowed to fight outside of his UFC contract in 2017 when he lost to boxing great Floyd Mayweather.
But UFC boss Dana White vowed to never again make the exception.
We came to the table, we made it happen and as far as we were concerned it was a done deal.
KSI’s manager Mams Taylor on Conor McGregor fight
McGregor has not fought since 2021 when he brutally broke his leg against Dustin Poirier.
He was due to return in June of 2024 against Michael Chandler but a toe injury forced the Irishman out.
And McGregor’s current UFC future remains up in the air despite entering the drug-testing pool to make a return.
UFC stars are permitted to return six months of clean doping tests before being eligible to fight again.
McGregor’s absence from the UFC comes amid legal losses outside of the octagon.
In December, he was found liable for assault in a civil case against him dating back to 2018.
The court heard how McGregor was said to have “brutally raped and battered” Nikita Hand in a penthouse at the Beacon Hotel.
‘It will be one of the biggest pay-per-views of all time’
McGregor was ordered to pay Ms Hand about £206,000 in damages and pay her legal costs – since losing an appeal to the verdict.
The 37-year-old confirmed he turned down an offer to fight KSI during a Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship press conference in April.
He said: “There was an opportunity, or should we say a deal, to fight on Alcatraz recently in June.
“And they came to me, and it wasn’t my worth. As a fighter, we have to know our worth.
“I hold every pay-per-view record in the book. I hold every gate record in the book.”
Probed on whether the fight between KSI and McGregor can still happen, Taylor said: “You never know, you really never know with this space.
“I think it will be one of the biggest pay-per-views of all time. It would be one of the biggest spectacles but it’s a shame it didn’t happen.
“But, you never know.”
KSI, 32, has not returned since losing for the first time in the ring when Fury, 26, won a controversial decision.
But he continues to promote the celebrity-style crossover bouts with Misfits 22 taking place on Saturday in Manchester headlined by Darren Till vs Luke Rockhold.
