A PUB lover travelled 3,400 miles to the UK to visit a Wetherspoons for the first time.
Yana Kolomenskaya, originally from Russia but who now lives in New York, said she loved the experience so much she’s considering moving to Britain permanently.

The 35-year-old joined Facebook group Wetherspoons Paltry Chip Count, in which people share photos of their meals and reveal how many chips they got, several years ago.
Then last month flew to Heathrow before travelling up to Edinburgh, where she enjoyed food and pints at The Playfair Spoons.
Writing in the group, she said: “I’ve been willing to come try and count Wetherspoons chips for so many years.
“Now that I’m in Edinburgh, I finally made my dream come true.”
Speaking to The Sun, Yana said: “I got quite obsessed with it and always wanted to visit.”
She’s been living in Brooklyn, NYC, for nine years, but said: “Absolutely, in a blink of an eye I’d move to the UK.”
“I found this group, I joined it, I googled what Wetherspoons is and since then I’ve been willing to come over and try it for years,” she said.
However, in all the excitement of the Spoons visit she admitted she forgot to even count her chips.
Yana was baffled, meanwhile, that the coleslaw was so cheap, “so I ordered two just in case”.
“I love coleslaw, it was so cheap,” she explained. “You couldn’t find anything that would cost one pound or one dollar in America, it’s impossible.
“I live in one of the most expensive cities in the world. But even in less expensive parts of the US it wouldn’t be that cheap.”
She said coleslaw in restaurants can cost up to $15 a pot.
“Overall everything seemed so cheap to me,” Yana continued.
In part, she said that was because she was so used to tipping in the US.
“We’re I’m from, you have the option for tipping come up, which always starts with 20%.
“This is not a thing in the UK – I was like ‘wait stop, I’m supposed to tip you, where do I do that?’
“She said, ‘no no, you don’t have to tip’.”
Another highlight were the fruit machines. Yana said: “What on earth? Is that a British thing? A little mini casino in the pub.”
However, Yana, who went to see Oasis during her trip, also stopped off in London and Manchester but said she was “baffled” by the lack of broad selection of beers in some boozers over here.
“I love pubs,” she said. “We don’t really have them here. One thing that baffled me was the choice of beers though.
“I like blanche, like wheat beer, but I couldn’t find that kind of beer.
“Every freaking pub we have the same choice of beers. I would expect some craft beers, but I couldn’t find any.”
She added: “I was heartbroken about this. It was just basic German lagers, that was the only disappointing part.
“But other than that, you could smoke outside, it was amazing.”
