THIS is the shocking moment a dine and dash gang appeared to leave an Indian restaurant without paying a penny of their £72 bill.

CCTV footage shows the women entering the East4west Indian restaurant in Blackpool on August 25.

The group tucked into a mixed chutney tray followed by chicken tikka masala and a chicken kadai special.

They shamelessly ordered peshwari and garlic naan, along with two portions of chips and two pilau rice.

CCTV showed the greedy customers wash it all down with four cokes and a lemonade.

Security footage then snapped the gang leaving the restaurant allegedly without settling their £71.98 bill.

Seething bosses posted images of the group on social media.

They added: “Dine and dash alert. We recently experienced an unfortunate incident at our restaurant – a group of young women dined with us, enjoyed their meals, and left without paying their bill.

“This kind of act is not only unfair to our hardworking staff but also considered fraud.

“We kindly remind everyone to respect local businesses and the effort that goes into serving you.

“If you have any information about this incident, please reach out to us directly. Let’s keep our community honest and supportive.”

They later told The Sun: “We are not sure who exactly they were. It looks like they are 20ish.

“My colleague went inside to get the bill and they just ran away.

“When we went outside they had already disappeared so we put it on Facebook.

“Later on in the night a taxi driver came and told us they have circulated the picture in their group and the girls were dropped at Cherry Tree Road.”

The Sun Online has reached out to Lancashire Police for comment.

It comes after a couple fled the award winning Vadah Indian restaurant, in Stockton on Tees, Durham, without paying the £95 bill last weekend.

The pair were seen tucking into lamb vindaloo and lamb shank and downed three large Cobra beers and three large glasses of rose.

But when it came to settling the bill, the man allegedly made an excuse about leaving his phone in a pub to avoid paying.

Bosses gave them 24 hours to come forward and pay the bill or they would call cops and reveal their identities on social media.

Now it has emerged the mother of the woman paid her share of the bill after The Sun Online exposed the incident.

In an update, bosses said: “We wanted to share an important update following recent events and the article published today in The Sun, which covered this situation using the statement we provided.

“We’re grateful they reached out so quickly after the incident, helping shed light on some of the real challenges faced by small businesses like ours.

“Most importantly, we want to say a huge thank you to everyone who shared our post and helped spread awareness.

“The overwhelming response we received—especially with so many people reaching out to identify the couple—really shows the power of social media in supporting local businesses and holding people accountable.

This kind of act is not only unfair to our hardworking staff but also considered fraud.

“Since the story went public, the mother of the woman involved has contacted us and offered to pay half of the bill (which has now been paid). Discussions are ongoing regarding the remainder.

“We’ve yet to receive any word from the man’s side, despite his identity now being widely recognised through your support and sharing of our post.

“We know that nobody is perfect – mistakes happen, and as the owners of our two restaurants, Vadah and NOIR D’OR, we are no exception.

“Whenever we’ve gotten things wrong at either of our restaurants, we hold our hands up, listen to feedback, and do our best to make it right.

“But as this incident shows, sometimes it’s not the business or staff at fault, and there’s simply no excuse for threatening and bullying behaviour towards those just doing their job.

“We hope this situation is a reminder that, in today’s connected world, actions have consequences—bad behaviour, especially towards hardworking staff, rarely goes unnoticed or unchallenged for long.

“Our team is trained specifically not to engage with aggression, as we know it only escalates things and that’s never the outcome we want. Instead, we felt it was necessary to take the steps we did.

“We believe in second chances, and tried to offer one here. Whatever side you’re on—as a business owner or a member of the public—we hope this serves as a lesson about fairness, responsibility, and standing together as a community.

“Thank you again for your ongoing support.”

The Sun previously reported a group of nine diners fleeing after racking up an £800 bill at Tinel Seafood & Grill in Grantham, Lincolnshire – with CCTV showing one yob throwing a well-done steak at the restaurant boss.
