COPS have launched a manhunt after a “builder” was found stabbed to death.
Police were called to a Birmingham property at around 7am this morning.
A man in his 40s was found inside the address, on Alum Rock Road, with stab wounds.
Paramedics tragically pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
West Midlands Police launched an urgent murder investigation and are urging anyone with information to come forward.
Police remain in an alleyway at the back of the Alum Rock Road premises and outside a house in Jackson Road, as reported by Birmingham Live.
One local, who wished to remain anonymous, said: “I know the guy who passed away.
“He was working as a builder. Working class. A good man.
“A nice person who kept himself to himself. I used to see him at the mosque a lot.
“He was in his mid 40s.”
Kazam Lone, who lives on Alum Rock Road said: “It’s horrific. Unbelievable.
“I heard shouting in the morning but they were speaking their language. It was early.
“I think he may have been crying out for help. It’s shocking.”
Another resident claimed “it’s not safe anymore”, while someone else explained they went to the same mosque as the victim.
A spokesperson for the force confirmed: “We have launched a murder investigation after a man was stabbed at an address in Alum Rock.
“We were called to a house in Alum Rock Road, Birmingham, just after 7am today following reports of a man being found with stab injuries.
“Sadly, nothing could be done to save him.
“We’re in the early stages of our investigation and a police scene remains in place.
“We’d ask for anyone with information to contact us via 101 and quote log 527 September 5.”
