ENGLAND are set to take on Andorra in their first international test of the 2025/26 season.

Thomas Tuchel’s side will continue their journey towards the 2026 World Cup in USA against the 174th ranked side.

The Three Lions have already faced a tough start to the break, with Adam Wharton dropping out of an already injury hit squad for Ruben Loftus-Cheek.

The squad is already missing the likes of Bukayo Saka, Cole Palmer, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Jude Bellingham.

However, Tuchel’s Three Lions should have enough for Andorra at Villa Park, rather than their usual home of Wembley Stadium.

SunSport can reveal why England vs Andorra is not being played at Wembley Stadium.

Why is England vs Andorra not at Wembley Stadium?

England vs Andorra is not at Wembley Stadium due to the Coldplay tour, currently playing at Wembley.

The band have 10 dates at the home of football between August 22 and September 12.

Wembley was due to be free on Saturday night, but Coldplay have moved their final two dates, due to transport issues on the underground.

Regardless of the tour, the clash between England and Andorra was always due to take place at Villa Park.

This comes just three months after the Three Lions faced Senegal at the City Ground in Nottingham, and scraped past Andorra 1-0 in Spain.

Speaking earlier this year, Thomas Tuchel said: “We are excited to play at Villa Park, another stadium full of history.

“I know from my own visits to the stadium this season that it is capable of creating an outstanding atmosphere and is located close to St. George’s Park which is a positive for our preparation.

“We hope to be able to generate another special atmosphere and create a memorable occasion for all fans.”
