World Champ ‘The Nuke’ arrived in Prague late on Friday and was greeted by a group of frenzied fans, who wanted to take pictures with the world champion.
He was also verbally abused, with a fan “shouting” at him and his father, according to Littler himself.
On Instagram, Littler shared a picture of his hotel room, accompanied with the message: “Just came to the hotel in Prague got a few pictures baring [sic] in mind it’s 20 past 11 here it’s busy so got a few pictures with a few people and as I’ve gone to walk off someone has grabbed me and wanted a picture, you don’t grab someone just ask nice how hard is it.”
He continued in the same post: “And for the fella who came up to me and my dad shouting oi and then saying my behaviour is bad and I’m not bigger and better than anyone DO NOT GRAB ME FROM BEHIND because that’s bad behaviour not me because as soon as he’s grabbed I said do not grab me and walked away.”
Littler has had a tough time in European events, especially in Germany after being given a hostile reception for tournaments including the World Cup for England.
He has voiced a wish to boycott events in Germany but is set to appear at the German Darts Championship in Hildesheim next month.
He told Sky Sports: “I had a little head loss moment, I don’t get it and can’t explain it.
“Obviously you do your walk-on but then as soon as I got on stage, I started getting booed.

“I got booed in Hildesheim last year, I was flying and they started booing and I lost. Obviously, the Germans mustn’t like us English.”
Littler will be aiming to keep up his remarkable recent winning run in the Czech Darts Open title, having had successive wins at the World Matchplay, Australian Darts Masters and the New Zealand Darts Masters and then the Flanders Darts Trophy victory a week ago.
