MIKE TYSON has opened up on his previous drug use – sensationally admitting to taking fentanyl when he was still an active fighter.
Tyson began taking drugs at the tender age of ten, experimenting with acid before moving on to cocaine.

Cocaine was a constant during the former undisputed heavyweight champion’s boxing career, so much so that he even took it in the moments before his 2000 showdown with Lou Savarese in Scotland.
But the beloved Tyson has also revealed that fentanyl, which is 50 times MORE POTENT THAN HEROIN, was also something he took during his career to alleviate pain.
During an appearance on The Katie Miller Podcast, he said: “It was a painkiller, and I used to use it to patch up my toe.
“It was like heroin – once it wears off and you take the Band-Aid off, you start withdrawing, throwing up, just like if you were on heroin.
“It was illegal if it [was] caught in my bloodstream. It was a narcotic, my friend told me.
“It was brand new. I told my friend, ‘Could I use this?”‘ No one ever heard of it”
Tyson was in the vicious grip of drug and alcohol addiction for several years before he chose to get clean.
Before becoming sober, he told The Fight Network: “I want to change my life.
“I want to live a different life now. I want to live my sober life.
“I don’t want to die. I’m on the verge of dying because I’m a vicious alcoholic.
“I haven’t drank or took drugs in six days, and for me that’s a miracle.
“I’ve been lying to everybody else who thinks I was sober, but I’m not.
“This is my sixth day. I’m never going to use again.”
Tyson returned to the ring last November for a crossover clash with social media sensation Jake Paul, which he lost via unanimous decision.
He’s set to return to action early next year in a shock showdown with fellow boxing great Floyd Mayweather Jr.
