Mr Fuelscher said : “Our client Christian B. is currently serving his prison sentence in the Sehnde Correctional Facility. He will be released on September 17, 2025.
“Contrary to rumors to the contrary, there has been no early release, nor has a transfer to another facility been planned or carried out.
“The defense has contacted the Lower Saxony Ministry of Justice to request appropriate measures in the interest of our client’s safety and the maintenance of order within the facility.
“A response has not yet been received.
“To ensure Christian B.’s safety, the undersigned is in close contact with the responsible police station.”
He is serving seven years for rape in Sehnde jail, Germany.
The Sun has told how an ex-cop paid his outstanding court fines so he could be freed three months early.
German officials are hoping UK police will reopen their investigation into Brueckner.
He denies any involvement in three-year-old Madeleine’s 2007 disappearance in Portugal.
