MORE than sixty firefighters have rushed to tackle a major blaze at a tyre warehouse in a busy industrial estate.
Shocking pictures showed plumes of smoke rising across Longbridge, Birmingham, as the fire gutted the building in the early hours today.

Twelve fire crews were scrambled to Frankley Tyre warehouse as flames poured out the building this morning.
The building’s walls collapsed as firefighters sprayed water on with hoses using two hydraulic platforms.
Images circulating online appeared to show the property engulfed by flames and smoke.
Some residents even claimed they heard “an explosion” from the site.
One wrote on social media: “Hope they’re all ok. Sure I just heard explosion.”
Another added: “Heard a huge explosion not long back, hope everyone stays safe.”
An incident command unit, cops and teams from the National Grid were also called to the scene of the fire.
West Midlands Fire urged locals to keep their doors and windows closed while firefighters battled the blaze.
In a post on Facebook, the service said: “We have 12 crews in attendance at a fire on West Works Way, Longbridge.
“As a precaution, if you live or work nearby, please keep doors and windows closed.
“Avoid the area, where possible. Bristol Road South heading towards the city will be closed for some time.”
West Midlands Ambulance Service confirmed that paramedics were not in attendance.
It comes as 150 people were evacuated from a block of flats in Battersea, south-west London, following a huge fire.
Footage shared online showed flames tearing through the roof of the five-storey building.
Firefighters were also seen using two large 32-metre turntable ladders as water towers to help tackle the flames from above.
Three people were treated by paramedics at the scene on Maysoule Road.
