CHELSEA have agreed a deal to sign 22-year-old Emanuel Emegha from Strasbourg in 2026.

The Blues have swooped to sign the forward from BlueCo’s sister club with anticipation that a host of Champions League and Premier League outfits would be keen on a move.

Chelsea have a pre-agreement in place over a deal for the rising star.

Emegha, who will sign a seven-year contract at Stamford Bridge, had been linked with an exit this summer, but was reportedly keen to stay at Strasbourg and lead them into Europe.

The news comes just one day after Chelsea were hit with 74 FA CHARGES for breaking agent rules during the Roman Abramovich era.

The charges, which were self reported after being discovered by the new ownership, are understood to relate to deals for overseas-based players but not for any of their domestic signings.

The Premier League also investigated a series of secret payments that had allegedly been made and signed off by Abramovich without the knowledge of other Chelsea bosses.

They were based on payments made in relation to the transfer of three signings.

Those transfers are understood to be Samuel Eto’o, Willian and Eden Hazard.

Incoming signing Emegha scored 14 goals and registered three assists in 27 Ligue 1 appearances last term.

He has already scored three goals in four games across all competitions this term.

The highly-rated striker is a Netherlands youth international but is yet to earn his first senior call-up.

Chelsea have been using Strasbourg, who are also owned by Todd Boehly‘s BlueCo, as a breeding ground of talent since the London club’s Clearlake takeover.

Last season Andrey Santos, Angelo, Caleb Wiley and Djorde Petrovic were all sent on loan to the French club.

While this summer has seen Mathis Amougou, Ishe Samuels Smith and Ben Chilwell leave to join Strasbourg permanently.

Mamadou Sarr, Mike Penders and Kendry Paez all joined on loan.

Brighton star Julio Enciso also joined Strasbourg in a permanent switch during the transfer window, but is expected to move to Chelsea later down the line.

There is still a host of talent still sitting at Strasbourg that Chelsea essentially have first dibs on thanks to their shared ownership.

That list includes Desire Doue’s full-back brother Guela and former Seagulls ace Valentin Barco.

Emegha’s arrival makes him the fifth striker signed by Enzo Maresca since taking over at Chelsea last season.

He follows Joao Pedro, Liam Delap, Marc Guiu and Joao Felix through the doors in the past 12 months.
