In the disturbing footage, the hooded man thumps the safety door 32 times during his foul-mouthed rant.
Terrified passengers on the Number 83 bus watch on in shock as the man continues to threaten the driver.
He is heard screaming: “Open the f*****g door. Open the door now.
“Open the door, open the door. Open the f*****g door. Open the door.”
Despite constant pounding on the screen, the bus manages to keep driving along the route between Golders Green and Ealing.
The angry man continues: “I’m going to bust your head open.
“I’m going to remember your f*****g face. You think I’m joking.
“You think you’re a joker.”
The 34-second video filmed by an onlooker then comes to an end.
Horrified local Kerryn Purdue said: “Oh my God.”
Pauline added: “Where’s the police? Oh yeah, won’t do nothing.”
Transport for London has been approached for comment.
The Met confirmed no reports had been received in relation to the footage and officers were not called.
Last month, shocking footage showed Notting Hill Carnival revellers openly brawling at a busy Tube station.
The chaotic footage, which took place inside Baker Street station, central London, went viral after being caught on camera.
The brawl appeared to be sparked by one man in a brightly coloured carnival costume throwing a drink following the event.
He is seen scuffling with other revellers and is initially pushed away before launching the beverage at other partygoers.
The first man then runs onto a train and stands on a seat as he tries to hide.
But he is followed by the man in a white tank top and eventually manages to corner the reveller who threw the drink.
He is then seen being pummelled by the larger man in the tank top as a crowd of people film through the tube windows.
