IT was the ultimate his and hers fashion parade yesterday during the first day of Donald Trump’s state visit.
All three couples (Donald and Melania, Prince William and Princess Kate and King Charles and Queen Camilla) showed total co-ordination in their outfits.

Always known for her impeccable style Kate stepped out in one of her go-to brands Emilia Wickstead, this time wearing a £2,200 burgundy coat dress.
Going head to toe tonal she completed her look with a Jane Taylor hat and £650 Gianvito Rossi 105 pumps.
This isn’t the first time Kate and Wills have matched as the Prince wore a matching burgundy polka dot tie.
Not one to be outdone, Melania Trump — who also loves a pair of stilettos and sharp tailoring, opted for a similar hue, with the star of the show being a wide-brimmed purple hat that covered her eyes, with a Dior grey suit, once again proving how well she wears a tailored look.
Showing a united front, hubbie Donald moved away from his usual red tie, instead matching Melania with a purple shade.
That colour has for centuries been associated with royalty, with some speculating their choice to wear this shade could be a nod to the meeting at Windsor.
While the president may have moved away from his usual shade, one person who opted to wear their favourite colour was Queen Camilla.
In a blue coat dress with matching hat and white gloves she was mirrored by King Charles in a blue tie.
Surely all three couples did not pre-plan this spousal co-ordination, however when stood together it really does work effectively and if you were playing a guessing game of match the partners this would certainly be an easy one to get right.
They say co-ordination is key and I think today proves it with these looks.
