TWO brothers were the victims of a horror attack which left one dead and the other in hospital.
An entire street was turned into a crime scene after the bloodbath unfolded in the early hours of this morning in Airdrie, Lanarkshire.

The siblings haven’t been named by police, who said a 30-year-old man died at the scene and another, 27, was taken to hospital.
A manhunt is now underway with sources telling The Scottish Sun that two men were involved in the attack on the town’s Hamilton Drive at 12.15am.
A major investigation is underway to find out what happened during the devastating incident.
A blue forensics tent was set up in the front garden of a home on one end of the street.
Meanwhile forensics were spotted at a second home on the other end of the road.
They were also seen placing evidence markers on the pavement and near debris on the road, including a burst tin of baked beans.
Detective Inspector Gary Smillie said: “Around 12.15am on Thursday, 18 September, 2025, officers were called to a report of a disturbance on Hamilton Drive, Airdrie.
“Emergency services attended and a 30-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.
“A 27-year-old man was conveyed to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, where he remains in a stable condition.
“Extensive enquiries into the incident are ongoing and there will remain a police presence in the area at this time.”
Many residents were unaware of what was happening until they woke up living inside a crime scene.
One man told how he heard “loud bangs” in the middle of the night amid the tragic incident.
He said: “I heard lots of shouting and screaming and then some bangs that almost sounded like fireworks.
“Then I woke up this morning and saw the police were here.”
Detectives have been going door to door to find anyone who might be able to help them figure out what happened.
Other residents living inside the crime scene had to be escorted from their homes.
Another added: “I got in from my work around 10 and saw the blue lights through the curtains.
“At first thought it was an ambulance. But when it was still there looked out and saw all the police. “
While a third told our reporter: “It was the middle of the night and my whole room just lit up blue.
“When I found out what happened this morning I was shocked.
“It’s really horrible.”
