LUKE LITTLER has revealed he was left with egg on his face after backing Manchester United only to watch them get torn apart by rivals City.
The 3-0 derby demolition at the Etihad was another nightmare outing for Ruben Amorim- whose United side are now four games without a win in all competitions and 14th in the Premier League table.

Plenty of fans are calling for the Portuguese boss to go but Littler reckons he shouldn’t be shouldering all the blame.
Speaking to Express Sport at the launch of Target Darts‘ new pop-up shop in Manchester city centre, the world champ admitted: “Well, obviously looking back on it I thought we could get a result [vs City].
“Obviously not. But it’s United.”
And while Amorim’s job may be hanging by a thread, Littler believes the problems go much deeper than just the manager.
He added: “Obviously people are saying ‘Amorim out’ but you’ve got to look at the players.
“Some of them don’t fit the system, I don’t think. I think it’s going to be very tough but as long as we get into the top-eight Conference League, that’s what I’m hoping for.”
It wasn’t exactly a ringing endorsement of Amorim, but Littler hinted the ex-Sporting Lisbon boss could still be the right man for the job if given time.
But things don’t get any easier.

Club World Cup champions Chelsea are up next, visiting Old Trafford this weekend as pressure continues to mount on Amorim.
Luckily for Littler, he may not have to watch the carnage unfold, as he’s in Euro Tour action at the Hungarian Darts Trophy, a tournament he missed last year.
And with the darts calendar about to go into overdrive, the teenager is gearing up for one of the busiest stretches of his season.
He said: “There’s obviously still the Euro Tour this weekend and then you’ve got the European Championships which is another major.
“But this is it. This is a busy schedule, Grand Prix, Grand Slam, Players Championships and then obviously the Worlds.
“But it’s all practice up until the Worlds.”
The 18-year-old has been a game-changer for darts with hundreds of fans turning up to the Target pop-up to catch a glimpse of the all-conquering youngster.
And Littler admits he’s proud to be helping push the sport to new heights.
He said: “I know myself, I’ve changed the sport in many ways, but for Target this is probably one of the biggest things they’ve done.”
“I think the last pop-up store was two years ago at the West Ham United ground but I know the work that everyone at Target has put into this.
“Us players, we do our job on the board and then it impacts all the fans wanting to buy our products.”
At 18, Luke is the youngest person to ever lift the World Championship trophy.
