THE Met Office has issued flood warnings as 18 hours of rain and 75mph winds are set to batter the UK.
Brits will be hit with stormy conditions in the coming days with dozens of flood alerts in place and 80mm of rain expected in some areas.

The Met Office said that heavy rain, strong winds and cooler temperatures are expected across the country on Saturday and Sunday.
North Wales and northern England are covered by a yellow rain warning until 3am on Sunday and could be particularly affected by the flooding.
The national weather service has warned of potential flooding and transport disruption across the UK.
“Flooding may affect parts of Wales and northern England this evening, especially northwest England, with heavy and persistent rain in places,” they said.
“Some briefly very strong winds may also occur across Wales, the Midlands and northern England with gales a possibility in places.”
More than 20 flood alerts are in place for England and more than 20 have been issued for Wales with some areas potentially seeing up to 80mm of rain.
High water levels at lakes near Keswick Campsite in the Lake District are causing fooding, according to The Environment Agency.
They added that they expect it to continue throughout the weekend.
While severe flood warnings have been issued on the North Sea coast at Hornsea, in Yorkshire with “large waves” expected and the public warned to stay away from coastal areas.
It comes after Wales was hit with flooding last weekend as footage showed cars submerged underwater.
Met Office Chief Meteorologist, Matthew Lehnert, said: “Through this period, 20-30mm of rain is expected to fall widely across Wales and northern England, with some locations perhaps seeing 60-80 mm.
“Where these higher rainfall amounts fall remains uncertain and it is possible that this warning may be updated if confidence increases, particularly if the heaviest rain falls in urban areas.”
Strong winds are also set to batter the nation with gusts potentially reaching up to 75mph around some coastal areas.
A yellow wind warning is in place for the Midlands, Wales and north of England from 3pm on Saturday until 4am on Sunday.
The strongest winds are expected around the Bristol Channel and west Wales coast on Saturday evening, say the Met Office.
They will then move along the North Sea coast of east and northeastern England overnight and into Sunday morning.
The Met Office warned there was a small chance of flying debris and power cuts and urged the public to be alert.

They also warned of travel disruptions as well as a slight chance that buildings could be damaged and roads and bridges temporarily closed.
Cooler temperatures are also expected following mild temperatures on Friday where the mercury hit 27.8C in St James’s Park in central London.
However, temperatures could plummet to as low as 8C on Sunday.
Lehnert added: “There is also a chance that a short spell of strong, gusty winds could develop as the area of low pressure moves east. Winds will initially strengthen across some western and south-western areas, before migrating north-eastwards, clearing into the North Sea during the early hours of Sunday morning.
“Whilst not everywhere in the warning area is expected to experience very strong winds, some inland locations may see gusts of 50-60mph whilst gusts of 65-75mph are possible around some coasts.
“The strongest winds are likely to be along the Bristol Channel and the west Wales coast this afternoon and early evening, then along the North Sea coast of east and northeast England overnight into early Sunday morning.”
Torrential rain has already forced a Championship football match between Blackburn and Ipswich to be abandoned on Saturday afternoon.
The match was called off with ten minutes still to play as the freak weather forced the referee to haul the players of the pitch.
