A SCOT stranded in Benidorm fears being killed as he has been forced to sleep rough in a street tunnel known as “muggers lane”.
William George was barred from flying home following a sunshine break after a bust-up with the manager of the apartment block he stayed at.

Scottish tourist William George has been stranded in Benidorm for two months while waiting on a court date.
While awaiting a court date for damaging a glass door in the row, William, 34, has been living on the streets.
It comes after the accommodation boss withheld his €200 deposit on August 7, claiming he had been tossing cigarettes from a balcony.
William, who was in the Spanish resort for a pal’s wedding, was arrested at Alicante airport and had his passport seized.
He gave his partner Amanda Elliot, 26, his phone with their boarding passes so she could get back to Scotland.

William, who denies the smoking rap, was banged up in police cell in the town of Elche, 45 miles from Benidorm, before being released.
He said: “I was getting ready to walk 15 hours just to get back.
“While walking through the streets there were gangs of men trying to get me to come into this park so they could rob me.
“An Irish guy ended up letting me use his phone and buying me a bus ticket.
“If it wasn’t for him I doubt I would have got out of Elche alive.”

William, of Larkhall, Lanarkshire, added: “I found this tunnel which I thought would be OK, but I went away to the shops one day and when I came back all of my things were stolen.
“Some locals told me I was lucky to be alive.
“A hotel worker who knows us let me stay with her but her mum is coming to stay so I’ll be back on the streets next week.
“I’ve admitted what I did was wrong, I just want to get to court and plead guilty so I can get home.
“I’m worried I am going to die here.”
A spokesperson for the Foreign and Commonwealth Office said: “We are supporting a British man who was arrested in Spain and are in contact with the local authorities.”
