TEENAGE darts wonderkid Mitchell Lawrie added to his growing list of accolades by winning the British Open at the weekend.
The 14-year-old beat Ryan Hogarth 5-0 in the final on Sunday.

Lawrie won the title less than a month after becoming the youngest Welsh Open champion.
Fans are now convinced that he will go on to rival Luke Littler in future, with some claiming that he is already exceeding the potential shown by the current world champion at his age.
One darts nut took to social media to write: “Young Mitchell Lawrie reminds me of Littler in every way. Oozes confidence and composure at such a young age. Power Scoring and loves a D10. Well played.”
Another said: “Mitchell Lawrie hits back-to-back 12-darters and a 102.95 average to win the British Open at 14 years old, having averaged 100 in defeat in the British Classic final.
“He’s rivalling, if not exceeding, what Luke Littler was doing at the same age.”
While a third commented: “Meanwhile in England: 14-year old Mitchell Lawrie has just won the British Open, a senior WDF-event, averaging 102.95 (!) in the final.
“Littler-esque. Don’t be surprised if he plays the WDF World Championship in December already.”
Lawrie threw three 180s in the final against Hogarth, averaging 102.95 overall.
Meanwhile, his potential future rival, 18-year-old Littler, is preparing to defend his world title in December.
But former darts player Matt Edgar has tipped Josh Rock to rival him.
He told talkSPORT: “The guy is a joke, in the best way. I won’t ask ‘How good is he?’. We know.
“He said at the start of the year he wanted to be right up there with Littler.
“He’s getting very close. It’s not a matter of if he wins a Major, but when.
“The other question is Premier League selection — and I think he’s in right now.
“He plays with so much adrenaline and intensity that he burns out a little as the day goes on. In week-long formats, he’ll have the time to reset and I think that suits him.”
