ASTON VILLA chief Monchi has left the club with immediate effect, according to reports.
The decision comes following a poor start to the Premier League season for Villa.

Unai Emery and his team currently sit 18th in the league table with just three points from five games.
They are yet to win a match this season and scored their first goal of the campaign just last week.
And transfer guru Fabrizio Romano claims that Monchi has left the club amid the chaos.
Monchi joined Aston Villa from Sevilla in 2023 and became the club’s president of football operations.
He was tasked with leading the process of player recruitment at Villa Park.
During his time at the club, Monchi contributed to the permanent signings of Amadou Onana, Ian Maatsen, Victor Lindelof and Donyell Malen.
He also secured the loan signings of Marcus Rashford and Marco Asensio last season as well as Harvey Elliott and Jadon Sancho this term.
Rashford and Asensio helped Villa to a sixth-place finish in the Premier League.
The Villans qualified for the Europa League as a result and are now lined up top face the likes of Bologna, Feyenoord and Basel in the league phase.

However, if they fail to improve their performances, they could find themselves out of the competition before the knockouts.
Following Aston Villa’s 1-1 draw with Sunderland on Sunday, Emery said: “We were not controlling the game even at 1-1 in the last ten minutes.
“We were not controlling the game and they could have taken one transition and scored one goal and I was literally worried.
“The most important thing now is to build a team and to build a structure tactically with our idea, our identity and then try to get confidence in the players through it.
“Some players I am watching. Sometimes we are playing individually. We need to adapt in our style how we want to play and through it we were taking experiences here being successful and again, of course, this is the way I want.
“It’s one point keep going. Now we are starting (in) Europe on Thursday. We are going to play at home two matches now and hopefully we can feel better at home.
“And of course we have to react in the Premier League because it’s the first competition where we have to try to to achieve our objective and should be through how we create and how we want to to build a team with our identity.”
