RIO FERDINAND admits that Ruben Amorim’s constant tinkering would have driven him mad if he was still a Manchester United player.
The Red Devils boss is determined to stick with his beloved back-three but has no problem changing the players that fill it.

Amorim has used three different starting centre-back combinations in United’s last four games.
And he has made a habit of reshuffling the pack mid-match.
Ferdinand, who racked up six Premier League titles at United, reckons more consistency is needed.
He explained on Rio Presents: “I look at teams that win, right? Whether it’s my team, whether it’s the old Arsenal teams…
“The same centre-halves play every week. There’s a consistency with team selection with that pairing at the back.
“Paris Saint-Germain, same two centre-backs all the way through the Champions League, bang, winning the trophy.
“The consistency of players in that area of the pitch gives you a better chance to win, and this chopping and changing is just… I find it wild.
“I don’t like it and I wouldn’t like it if I played.”

Harry Maguire was the defender sacrificed in Saturday’s 2-1 win over Chelsea, with Leny Yoro coming on in his place in the 70th minute.
United saw out the victory but Ferdinand has warned Amorim about the dangers of chucking centre-backs in at the deep end.
He added: “Your first one or two or three sprints, you are absolutely hanging onto things.
“Your lungs are on the floor, red raw. Getting into a game is difficult, man.”
