PROTESTS have erupted outside a controversial migrant hotel after an asylum seeker was jailed for sexually assaulting a teenager.
The protest was sparked outside the Bell Hotel in Epping, Essex, earlier this evening after one of its former occupants was jailed.

An Ethiopian migrant, who was housed in the hotel, was arrested in July this year after sexually assaulting a schoolgirl.
Hadush Kebatu, 41, put his hand on the teen’s thigh, tried to kiss her, and told her he wanted to marry her.
The migrants initial arrest caused outrage among the community with hundreds calling for asylum seekers to be booted out of the Bell Hotel.
The accommodation became the site of dozens of protests as frustrated Brits called for an end to the use of migrant hotels.
This evening yet another protest was launched outside the hotel after Kebatu was jailed.
Members of the public arrived outside the asylum seeker accommodation bearing St George’s Cross flags and Union Jacks.
Red flares were set off as groups gathered outside the hotel, police are at the scene.
Kebatu was caged for 12 months earlier today after he was found guilty of the sexual assault in court.
The Home Office has confirmed it will seek to deport the asylum seeker.
He was assisted by a Tigrinya interpreter at the trial where he was convicted of five sex charges.
They include sexually assaulting the 14-year-old girl and inciting her to engage in sexual activity.
A spokesperson for the Home Office said: “It is our longstanding policy not to comment on individual cases, but when foreign nationals commit serious crimes in our country, we will always do everything in our power to deport them.
“This Government deported almost 5,200 foreign national offenders in its first year in office, a 14% increase on the previous year, and we will continue to do everything we can to remove these vile criminals from our streets.
The sex attack sparked mass anti-immigration protests across the UK as frustrated locals gathered outside dozens of hotels up and down the country.
Epping Forest District Council eventually won a bid at the High Court to block migrants from being housed at the Bell Hotel.
The temporary injunction meant that the building had to be cleared of migrants by September 12.
It caused a ripple effect across the UK as a number of councils launched their own bids to boot migrants out of hotels in their towns.
But the Court of Appeal has since overturned the decision after an appeal by the Home Office and the owners of the Bell Hotel, Somani.
The controversial ruling means the migrants can stay in hotel accommodation for the time being.
A further hearing is expected in October after Epping Council accused the hotel of operating unlawfully.
