RYDER CUP fans were left terrified when a power line EXPLODED outside Bethpage Black ahead of Friday’s first session.
An overhanging powerline just outside the course began to spark and set fire before sending sparks everywhere as fans waited to get into the premises.

Video from fans who were waiting to get inside and watch the action showed the unbelievable moment.
An officer outside the course told SunSport: “An electrical line came down on the crowd. There was a loud bang.”
Adding: “We had to reroute the entrance. This wasn’t meant to be like this.”
Fans had been waiting to stream onto the course in order to get in place for the first tee times this morning.
