EVERTON are fuming over Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall’s one-match suspension.

The Toffees midfielder, 27, was yellow carded in the 91st minute of Monday’s 1-1 draw with West Ham for fouling Kyle Walker-Peters – despite appearing to win the ball.

Everton boss David Moyes called referee Sam Barrott’s decision “shabby” and also hit out at the standard of officiating this season.

Dewsbury-Hall’s fifth yellow card of the campaign in just six games means the ex-Chelsea and Leicester midfielder will miss the home clash with Crystal Palace on Sunday.

But SunSport understands Everton are still unhappy with Dewsbury-Hall’s caution against Merseyside rivals Liverpool.

Dewsbury-Hall’s previous yellow card came when the playmaker took a quick free-kick at Anfield.

And now the last two yellow cards have proven costly with a suspension for Dewsbury-Hall this weekend.

SunSport’s ref expert Mark Halsey branded ref Darren England‘s call “nonsense” and “poor management and refereeing“.

Moyes has bemoaned the current standard of officiating when he said after the Hill Dickinson draw: “There’s been a general poor level at the moment.

“It’s not just me, most managers are probably feeling the same.”

Forgive me if I’m wrong, and I might be, but some of these decisions are so hard to take. Mind boggling. https://t.co/XpoKG3HoiB

On the game itself Michael Keane scored an early opener for Everton with a super bullet header from James Garner’s whipped cross from the left.

Everton had the best of the first half, with Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Jack Grealish particularly lively and the former came closest to extending the Toffees’ lead when he glanced a header narrowly wide.

But Everton were unable to take advantage of their early dominance and Bowen made them pay on 65 minutes when he found space inside the box and his vicious left-footed shot flew in via a deflection off Keane.

A very good point for West Ham and clearly a disappointing one for Everton.
