OSCAR PIASTRI aimed a cheeky dig at Lewis Hamilton and Ferrari during the Singapore Grand Prix.
The Formula One drivers’ championship leader was coming around the Marina Bay Street Circuit just as he started a flying lap during Free Practice 1.

However, as the McLaren ace sped towards Turn 1 he was met with a huge red obstacle.
That obstacle was none other than Hamilton, who had steered to the right of the track in an effort to get out of the way of his rival for the slow left turn.
Unfortunately, Piastri’s pace was compromised and the 24-year-old was forced to abandon his lap on soft tyres.
And the usually cool-as-a-cucumber Aussie let the sweltering Singapore heat get to his head a bit as he sniped a comment at the seven-time world champion.
After passing Hamilton, Piastri quipped down the radio: “Ferrari will invent mirrors one day, I hope.”
Hamilton had not been made aware of the McLaren pushing behind him, a fact he took up with race engineer, Riccardo Adami.
The 40-year-old said: “You let me know way too late there mate.”
Piastri was ironically targeted by Sauber’s Gabriel Bortoleto as he followed the McLaren through the middle sector.

The F1 rookie moaned: “What the f*** is he doing?”
Piastri ended up finishing a thousandth of a second behind Hamilton in the first practice session.
Aston Martin’s Fernando Alonso was the surprise pace setter, a full tenth ahead of the second-quickest driver, Charles Leclerc.
This weekend’s race was issued with a first ever “heat hazard” warning from the FIA, with temperatures set to climb as high as 31C.
