LAMINE YAMAL has been ruled out for three weeks after suffering a reoccurrence of “discomfort in the pubic area.”

The Barcelona superstar had already experienced similar issues with his groin earlier this season.

It saw him miss four matches in September.

But Yamal was thrust back into Barca’s XI when the Spanish kings took on reigning holders Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League.

He played the entire match as Hansi Flick’s men lost 2-1 following a 90th minute winner by the French side.

However, Yamal’s appearance came at a cost after suffering a reoccurrence of his old groin injury.

Barcelona confirmed in a statement that “pubic discomfort” had reared its head again.

Yamal has now been ruled out for the next three weeks.

And he will miss the upcoming clash against Sevilla as a result, as well as Spain’s games against Georgia and Bulgaria.

Barcelona’s statement read: “The discomfort in the pubic area that player Lamine Yamal has been experiencing has reappeared after the match against PSG.

“He will be out for the Sevilla game, and the estimated recovery time is 2-3 weeks.”

Yamal’s setback comes after he finished second at the Ballon d’Or.

The Euros winner was a prime contender to take home football’s biggest individual prize.

But Yamal was beaten to top spot by PSG forward Ousmane Dembele.

Despite that, he was still crowned the best youngster on the planet.

And after only turning 18 in July, he still has his whole career ahead of him.
