AXEL BLEUE (3.25 Uttoxeter, nap)

The Bowen brothers team up with this five-year-old who has won two of his three starts so far. He was impressive in a Newton Abbot bumper and can progress again on this debut over hurdles.

LORIKO (1.40 Uttoxeter, nb)

Can strike on debut for the Skeltons. He showed promise in France and, although he’ll come on a bundle for this run, he should still be good enough to win.

CONMAN JOHN (1.58 Kelso, treble)

Caught the eye in a bumper at the Punchestown Festival last time out. He finished fifth but was pushed out wide at a crucial stage before coming home nicely. He should make a nice hurdler for Russell and Scudamore.

HALF SHOT (3.43 Kelso, Lucky 15)

Ran well for a long way here last time and likes this unique track. He’s had a welcome nudge down the weights too.
