He received immediate medical attention, but tragically died later that day.

Confirming the awful news on social media, Hashtag wrote: “Despite the best efforts of the emergency services, who worked tirelessly for over 2 hours, Raman sadly passed at the age of just 22.

“We’d like to give our heartfelt condolences to Raman’s family, his teammates & those in attendance at Garons Park yesterday.

“All our teams will be holding a minutes silence in his memory.”

Club founder Spencer Owen led tributes to Sidhu.

The 36-year-old wrote on X: “So incredibly sad. Rest in peace Raman.”

While plenty of supporters echoed Owen’s sentiment.

Hashtag launched their inclusivity side in 2022.

Describing the initiative on their website, the non-league side wrote: “During the 2021/22 season, Hashtag United FC introduced an inclusive section to its portfolio.

“This pan-disability section allows players with a broad spectrum of impairments and health conditions to play football together.

“Our award-winning coach, Sonny, founded Inclusive Sports Ability in 2020 to provide a multi-sports club, catering for young adults with pan-disabilities.

“At this time, Sonny was coaching an open aged group with Basildon Soccability, but unfortunately, the team disbanded. Sonny immediately created a football team called Inclusive United FC.

“Discussions then took place between Inclusive United FC and Hashtag United FC to consider them joining the Hashtag family.

“It was agreed that it made sense for this group to be part of a club structure and Hashtag Inclusive United was formed in March 2022.”
