CHILLING new CCTV footage shows terrorist Jihad Al-Shamie speeding into a synagogue in Manchester minutes before launching a deadly attack.
The dramatic security video also shows the extremist return to the area, driving his car at speed towards the Jewish temple which he attacked on Yom Kippur – the holiest day in the Jewish calendar.

Emergency services on the scene
BBCNew footage appears to show the man responsible for an attack at a Manchester synagogue, minutes before he drove his car into worshippers on Yom Kippur[/caption]
The video, obtained exclusively by The Sun, shows Al-Shamie’s black Kia Picanto hurtling along Middleton Road in Crumpsall, towards Heaton Park Hebrew Congregation Synagogue.
As with the car used in the attack, the back right hubcap can be seen missing from the vehicle in the footage.
In the video the car is seen to pass by the front of the Jewish temple before disappearing behind trees.
Seconds later the car is known to have smashed into a volunteer security guard standing outside the temple.
In the footage a terrified man is seen running from the scene in the seconds after the crash and traffic on the road comes to a sudden standstill.
Al-Shamie, 35, is known to have exited the car and stabbed a man to death. GMP were called to the scene at 09:31am.
The radicalised Islamic extremist then tried to smash his way into the synagogue as terrified congregants barricaded themselves inside.
Two Jewish men Melvin Cravitz, 66, and Adrian Daulby, 53, died in the attack, the latter is understood to have been hit by police gunfire as firearms officers shot Al-Shamie.
Four others were injured in the rampage and three people remain in hospital.
The CCTV also shows the chaos that ensued as emergency services converged on the synagogue in the aftermath of the attack.
A fire engine was seemingly the first on scene after it was coincidentally passing the temple on the way to a fire in a different part of the city.
Tom Ludley, 41, watch manager at Manchester Central Fire Station has told how he decided to stop and help.
Seconds later – some seven minutes after the initial attack – armed police arrived and shot Al-Shamie dead.
In the video elite armed officers carrying Heckler & Koch MP5 submachine guns are seen taking cover behind a brick gate post to the left of the synagogue entrance.
As the emergency unfolded paramedics and other police are seen to arrive.

Moments later congregants are seen being led to safety by police officers through the gates of the synagogue.
After the attack it emerged the terrorist had circled the synagogue 15 minutes before he launched his deadly plot – but was sent packing by security guards.
He was seen “acting suspiciously” outside the synagogue before he was confronted by security staff and walked away, according to witnesses.
And the new footage appears to back up this claim, with a man matching Al-Shamie’s description seen walking to the synagogue before leaving a few minutes later.
Al-Shamie, wearing a brown coat with a white fur trim, is seen acting extremely shiftily as he looks around and over his shoulder.
The footage also matches doorbell footage of a man walking away from the scene further down Middleton Road obtained by the BBC.
Police have detained four people on suspicion of terror offences in connection with the attack.
On Sunday, counter terror police were granted more time to hold them in custody, while inquiries are under way to establish “the full picture” into what was happened, a spokesman for Counter Terrorism Policing North West said.
Two other people, a man and a woman, were released without charge after they were arrested on the day of the attack.
Al-Shamie, who was born in Syria, was granted British citizenship in 2006.
He was on police bail accused of rape when he carried out the car and knife attack.
Today neighbours of the attacker said they reported concerns to police about him and a family member being “radicalised” and attempting to “preach” the Qur’an to local kids.
Police have said Al-Shamie, 35, did not appear to be known to counter-terrorism cops.
However, locals said they had concerns about Al-Shamie’s apparent fanatical interest in Islam in recent years.
One neighbour said: “They just started wearing all the robes and everything. I thought [one relative] was being radicalised because he wouldn’t speak to us for a bit.
“He was coming up the road preaching to kids about the Qur’an. It was quite intimidating. It was intrusive.”
The neighbour said they reported it to Greater Manchester Police in the summer of 2020 or 2021.
