A MUM-of-six who stabbed her boyfriend to death in a booze-fulled rage has been jailed.
Laura Shanley, 36, stabbed Alfred James Corbett with a knife and left him to bleed to death on the kitchen floor after a row about her drinking, back in September last year.

The victim, who was better known as Jamie, had been manipulated and “coercively controlled” in the days before the attack, a court heard.
He was found dying at his home in Edmund Road, Coventry, just after 4am on September 17 last year.
Shanley, who had been in a relationship with Mr Corbett, denied the killing but was convicted of murder by a jury at Warwick Crown Court on October 1.
She had been drinking heavily in the hours before Mr Corbett was murdered, jurors heard.
Shanley repeatedly denied the killing but was jailed for life with a minimum of 16 years on Friday.
After stabbing her victim, Shanley knelt down next to him and shouted “what have I done?” Warwick Crown Court heard.
At the Warwick Crown Court sentencing hearing she was told she would serve a minimum of 16 years, minus a year she had already spent in prison.
Jamie’s heartbroken mum Karen said he was “very much loved” and brought his family “incredible joy”.
She told the jury: “I talk to him constantly in my mind. I tell him how much I love him, but he cannot respond.”
His dad Alfred described his son Jamie as a “shining light”.
The devastated father said: “Jamie was our precious boy, and the feeling of loss is so overwhelming that it is often unbearable.
“Each day is a struggle to adjust to a world that feels emptier and less vibrant without him here.”
He said of Shanley: “Her actions have left a void that can never be filled, robbing us of the joy and connection that made our family whole.”
Prior to the Edmund Road attack Shanley had been out in the city drinking with friends, police said.
She initially told officers Mr Corbett had arrived home bleeding having already been stabbed.
Shanley was arrested after the knife she used was found in the kitchen sink.
The court heard she had asked another woman who was inside the house if she would lie to police, asking her “have you got my back?”
She later admitted stabbing Jamie and was found guilty of murder.
Sentencing Shanley, Judge Montgomery said: “He was a much-loved and cherished member of his close-knit family.
“His mother, father and sister have spoken of the deep, enduring pain of his loss that time will not heal.
“Every memory, every occasion and every aspect of their futures are blighted by their grief and anger.”
