To me the most sinister scene was the “co-ordinated” anti-Israel march by 400 school kids in East London’s Tower Hamlets on Friday.
Dozens more were staged across the country.
The last time children were weaponised against Jews was in the 1930s when Hitler’s brown shirt Nazis marched in Germany. Is it possible we are heading for our own Kristallnacht, the infamous anti-Jewish Night of Broken Glass when German police also looked on without intervening?
One child under the age of ten was seen standing alongside parents chanting “From The River To The Sea” — a call to wipe Israel off the face of the map.
Why weren’t they in class?
Bizarrely, the Department for Education says: “Young people should be able to peacefully express their views.”
They were flatly contradicted by Education Secretary Gillian Keegan.
“I’m deeply concerned that some children are attending political protests during the school day,” she said.
“Even more so if they are taking part in, or being exposed to, anti-Semitic chants.”

Similar demos are being targeted at Labour MPs who toed the party line by voting in the Commons last week against a Gaza ceasefire.
Their offices have been sprayed with abusive graffiti.
The sinister intimidation escalated dramatically when a gang surrounded the home of a Labour MP, clearly signalling: “We know where you live”.
Party leader Sir Keir Starmer has received death threats as “a genocide denier” and fears for the safety of his Jewish wife and children.
These outrages are a shocking collapse in social cohesion and civil order.
Yet police treat the increasingly defiant protests as “mainly peaceful”, aided and abetted by the BBC and other broadcasters.
Terrorist insignia
They are not peaceful. They are huge, frightening and out of control.
While our police stand by with arms folded, Germany and France have banned terrorist insignia and chants about obliterating Israel.
Here in Britain, thin blue line officers seethe at the impotence of hand-wringing commanders.
Bobbies are afraid to arrest lawbreakers in case they are accused of “racism” or “Islamophobia”.
Many are reluctant to take Tasers on patrol for fear of disciplinary action if used.
One veteran officer nearing retirement mourned the collapse in authority and warned the embattled Met was close to “implosion”.
Such events put Wednesday’s dry Autumn Statement in perspective.
A few pence off taxes pales into insignificance when mayhem on this scale is allowed to rule our streets.
