FORMER First Lady Rosalynn Carter has died at the age of 96 after spending her final days with her husband, former US President Jimmy Carter.
Carter made history as the oldest living and the longest-married former First Lady.
The former First Lady is survived by four children and 22 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She leaves behind her husband, Jimmy Carter.
After serving as first lady from 1977 to 1981, she continued her work focusing on mental health, caregiving, women, and children.
