THIS is the shocking moment a convicted paedophile was allowed to mingle with children at a “high-profile” movie shoot.

Jacky Jhaj, 38, who is on the sex offenders register, mixed with around 200 children and young women at London’s Leicester Square.

Jhaj was jailed for four years in 2016 after he was found guilty of four counts of sexual activity with two 15-year-olds after posing as a film producer.

Jhaj, from Feltham, cruised the streets of Hounslow in his 4X4 offering girls alcohol and telling them that he was a Hollywood film producer.

After he was convicted Detective Constable Nav Johal, the investigating officer from Hounslow CID, said: “Thanks to the courage and bravery of the young vulnerable victims who gave evidence, a dangerous sexual predator has been brought to justice.

“I am hopeful that the verdict and sentencing will give them some peace and closure, and they will be able to, in time, move forward from this difficult period.”

Footage has now emerged of Jhaj mixing with children at a film shoot which replicated a premier at Leicester Square.

The film shoot, which shows some of the children touching Jhaj, took place on October 17, the BBC has revealed.

The BBC reported that organiser of the event – known only as “Project BRT” – hired 90 children aged six to 14 from one agency, Jam 2000.

The production also booked about 100 young women between the ages of 16-24 from Uni-versal Extras.

The BBC gained access to text messages and other correspondence sent by Uni-versal Extras to older cast members.

The BBC also saw an email sent by the agency to cast members on November 2.

The email read: “[The Metropolitan Police] assured us that there is no cause for concern in relation to Artiste safety and there were no restrictions placed on this individual preventing him working with, or being near, any of our Artistes, including those under 18.”

Mr Jhaj has since been charged with two counts of failing to comply with the notification requirements of the sex offenders’ register – failure to comply with the registration of a new passport and provide notification of travel seven days prior to departure.

He has also been charged with breaching his sexual harm prevention order by failing to supply a mobile phone for inspection, the Met added. He has not yet been required to provide a plea.
