COPS have locked down a residential street in Edinburgh following reports of an explosion at a property.
Emergency services are currently at the scene Baberton Mains Avenue after the alarm was raised at around 10.25pm this evening.

Officers are asking the public to avoid the area at the moment.
Scottish Fire and Rescue confirmed they are in attendance.
Locals are reporting on social media that the explosion could be heard from several miles away.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 10.25pm on Friday,1 December, 2023 we were called to reports of an explosion at a property on Baberton Mains Avenue in Edinburgh.
“Emergency services are at the scene, and we would advise people to avoid the area at this time.”
