RUSSELL Brand’s companies made nearly £3M last year earning him a huge £2.1M payout – despite being accused of multiple historical sexual assaults.

Earlier this week, Brand, 48, was questioned under caution by Met Police for a second time as more allegations of sexual offences emerged against the loud mouthed presenter.

Brand has vehemently denied any wrongdoing and insists his relationships were “always consensual”.

But the negative publicity doesn’t seem to have hurt his wallet as his two main firms have reported healthy profits – although the financial period for the businesses predates the allegations.

His main firm Pablo Diablo’s Legitimate Business Firm Ltd’s accumulated profit has risen to £4,878,863, up from £4,070,420, a jump of £808,443, for the year ending 31 December 2022.

Accounts reveal that the profit for the year was actually £2,908,443, but he and fellow director, wife Laura, paid themselves £2.1M in dividends.

The business centres around his TV and online work, with the star coining it in from his conspiracy-driven Rumble show, which is currently one of his only revenue stream after YouTube blocked him from profiting from streamed videos.

Brand is sitting on a nice pile of cash – he’s got £4,538,741 cash in the bank. The firm also has 11 employees including Brand and Laura.

Yet it’s not all good news for Brand as the firm has also taken out bank loans totalling £686,846.

The firm has been used as collateral against The Crown Inn pub in Pishill, Oxfordshire, which he bought in 2021.

The pub was closed in the aftermath of the initial allegations, with Brand having fencing installed and hiring security guards.

His only other source of income is fans subscribing to his website content charging $60 a year to watch Brand and guests, such as the “King of Conspiracy” Alex Jones, who faces bankruptcy after being sued by the families of Sandy Hook mass shooting victims for claiming it was a hoax.

Another of his firms R&L Brand LLP has £230,882 in the pot, up from £211,827 the year before – so its profit for the year is £19,055.

His new firm Stay Free Media Ltd reported its first year of accounts and it had only £100 in reserves. The firm’s name is the same as his Rumble show.

Earlier this week Scotland Yard said that a man in his forties, understood to be Brand, had attended a police station in south London for a second time on Thursday.

He was previously interviewed under caution back in November in relation to three “non-recent” alleged sexual offences.

The comic denies allegations of rape, assault and emotional abuse dating from 2006 to 2013.

The allegations emerged after a joint investigation involving C4’s Dispatches and The Times.

Detective Superintendent Andy Furphy said: “We continue to encourage anyone who believes they may have been a victim of a sexual offence, no matter how long ago it was, to contact us.”

A Metropolitan Police spokesman said: “A man in his 40s attended a police station in south London for a second time on Thursday, December 14, 2023.

“He was interviewed under caution by detectives in relation to further non-recent sexual offences.

“The same man previously attended a police station on Thursday, November 16, 2023, for questioning. Inquiries continue.”
