A RESIDENT had a nightmare before Christmas when a car crashed through a wall into their front room.

The unnamed occupant of the house was left with “minor injuries” as a result.

The driver had to be cut free by firefighters.

The Vauxhall Corsa’s rear end was left poking out of the bungalow’s brickwork in Stratford sub Castle, near Salisbury, Wilts.

Wiltshire Police said cops were called at 10.35am on Wednesday.

Miraculously, the car managed to avoid a tree in the front garden.

It comes as experts have warned that the festive season is the worst time for crashes.

Leading insurer Admiral revealed that December 23 is the worst day in the calendar for collisions in car parks.

A whopping 46 per cent more accidents are expected on this fateful day than any other typical day of shopping.

The lead up to Christmas is seen as miles worse than almost any other stretch across the year going by the data.

December 20, 21 and 22, all feature in the top 10 worst days for car park problems.
