A KILLER vet who stabbed his girlfriend to death after making a chilling threat has been jailed for life.
Stephanie Hodgkinson, 35, had been attempting to end her relationship with Dr Alberto Fioletti when he knifed her six times.

The monster had previously told her: “I hope you’re happy with yourself. You’re gonna have a death on your hands now.”
On May 12, Stephanie agreed to meet Fioletti, 31, on a public beach but he showed up at her home in Bournemouth with flowers.
He stabbed the mum-of-two in the chest and back – causing “non-survivable” horror injuries – before knifing himself.
The Italian then called 999, telling the operator: “I killed my girlfriend”.
Fioletti, who admitted manslaughter by diminished responsibility, has now been jailed for life with a minimum of 15 years after being convicted of murder.
In a heartbreaking victim impact statement, Stephanie’s mum told how she will “never forget” how she discovered her daughter was dead.
She added: “I remember seeing police at the house and a forensics team walking about.
“At that point, we thought it might have been a burglary.
“I was approached and asked who I was and taken to a car.
“I was then told the news that no mother wants to hear, that there was an incident and my daughter had died.
“I didn’t say a word. I was in shock.
“The night of the incident I felt sick and sad knowing my daughter was lying in the house dead, while he was in a warm hospital bed.”
The mum also revealed how she lives in a “world of disbelief” and wakes up at night with anxiety.
She said she cannot “describe the impact of my daughter’s life being taken in such a cruel and senseless way” and would never wish the pain on anyone.
The mum added: “That day, a part of me died. Never in my lifetime will I ever get over what happened.
“Because of you, our beautiful Stephanie is no longer with us.
“How could you be so cruel and do a horrific act when all Stephanie was trying to do was to let you down gently.”
Bournemouth Crown Court heard how he and Stephanie had been in a relationship since October 2022 after meeting a dating site.
But their relationship had soured, with Fioletti said to have a narcissistic personality disorder caused by inferiority issues due to his “small penis”.
Following a heated argument on May 5, Stephanie had kicked the manipulative vet out of her home.
She agreed to meet him in public a week later to confirm the end of the relationship.
Fioletti texted his doctor, saying: “If I had to definitely lose her tomorrow night, this time I will have to put an end to it once and for all.”
He then showed up at Stephanie’s home with flowers and a card as she chopped vegetables in the kitchen.
After she bravely rebuffed him, Fioletti stabbed Stephanie in the chest and back – leaving her on the floor next to a breakfast bar.
He was taken to hospital for treatment to his self-inflicted wounds before being arrested.
How you can get help
Women’s Aid has this advice for victims and their families:
Always keep your phone nearby.
Get in touch with charities for help, including the Women’s Aid live chat helpline and services such as SupportLine.
If you are in danger, call 999.
Familiarise yourself with the Silent Solution, reporting abuse without speaking down the phone, instead dialing “55”.
Always keep some money on you, including change for a pay phone or bus fare.
If you suspect your partner is about to attack you, try to go to a lower-risk area of the house – for example, where there is a way out and access to a telephone.
Avoid the kitchen and garage, where there are likely to be knives or other weapons. Avoid rooms where you might become trapped, such as the bathroom, or where you might be shut into a cupboard or other small space.
If you are a victim of domestic abuse, SupportLine is open Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 6pm to 8pm on 01708 765200. The charity’s email support service is open weekdays and weekends during the crisis – [email protected].
Women’s Aid provides a live chat service – available weekdays from 8am-6pm and weekends 10am-6pm.
You can also call the freephone 24-hour National Domestic Abuse Helpline on 0808 2000 247.
Steven Perian KC, prosecuting, said: “This tragedy unfolds as an intimate partner killing, ignited by Stephanie Hodgkinson’s courageous decision to terminate their relationship.
“She was not prepared to be manipulated by him. The defendant’s profound inability to come to terms with her rejection culminated in his relentless, brutal assault, marked by seven merciless and devastating stab wounds.
“Regrettably, despite best efforts, Stephanie could not be saved, succumbing to the grievous injuries she had received due to the relentless bleeding. He was interviewed… he admitted to punching Stephanie Hodgkinson in the face.
“He said he was completely out of control. The trigger for his loss of control was because of his breakdown of the relationship with Stephanie Hodgkinson.”
