DONALD Trump has been ordered to pay $83.3 million to E. Jean Carroll for defamatory statements he made against her in 2019.
The decision was made by the jury in a Manhattan courthouse on Friday and Trump was not present when the verdict was read as he left around 4 pm.

Carroll claimed that Trump raped her in a department store in the ’90s and the defamation comments came when he denied it.
The decision comes following a separate 2023 trial that covered sexual assault and defamation statements against Carroll made in 2022.
The court ruled in Carroll’s favor and said the verdict would be decided in the 2024 case.
Trump reportedly walked out of the courtroom when Carroll’s team gave its closing arguments.
