But he has failed to make a run into Arsenal’s first-team squad and spent time out on loan with Portsmouth, Ibiza and Wigan.
And now, after just one senior appearance for hi boyhood club, Azeez is taking his career to Spain in a bid to rejuvenate it.
Still only 21, the playmaker hopes a run of regular football could help him reach the heights once touted for him.
Azeez’s contract was also due to expire in the summer.
Arsenal have too been forced to welcome back outcast keeper Alex Runarsson after his loan from Cardiff was cut short.
The stopper signed for the Bluebirds on a season-long loan deal in August.
But he was understudy to No1 Jak Alnwick in the Welsh capital and was restricted to just six Championship appearances.
So Cardiff have decided to terminate Runarsson’s loan and he has returned to Arsenal, according to The Telegraph.

He is now set to join Danish giants Copenhagen.
Runarsson, 28, signed for Arsenal in 2020 but has made just six appearances for the club.
He has also had spells on loan at OH Leuven and Turkish side Alanyaspor, where he spent the duration of the 2022-23 campaign.
