SCOTLAND survived a Wales fightback to get off to a winning start in the Six Nations.
The Scots were seemingly en route to an easy victory, racing into a 27-0 lead after 42 minutes.

Winger Duhan van der Merwe scored two tries, with Finn Russell finding his groove with his conversions.
Prop Pierre Schoeman also crossed the try line for the visitors as they looked like racking up a record score.
But yellow cards for hooker George Turner and centre Sione Tuipulotu killed their momentum as the match swung.
Wales, who picked up two bonus points, burst into life, using their numerical advantage to great effect.
The Dragons scored four tries through flankers James Botham and Alex Mann, winger Rio Dyer and number eight Aaron Wainwright.
Scotland coach Gregor Townsend will be concerned by his sides capitulation, having been so dominant in the first half.
While Wales counterpart Warren Gatland will rue six lost lineouts on their own throw.
But he will be thrilled with the character that his team showed as Wainwright inspired the comeback and was awarded the man of the match award.

The win was Scotland’s first victory in Cardiff for 22 years.
And if Wales did get another try, it would’ve been the biggest comeback in Six Nations history.
