The veteran tactician, 76, is under the microscope after a difficult spell.
The Eagles are in 14th position and just five points above the relegation zone after a run of four Premier League wins in 17 matches.
Crystal Palace suffered an embarrassing 4-1 defeat to arch-rivals Brighton over the weekend – their biggest loss in this fixture since 1956.
The final whistle was met with jeers and boos from the travelling supporters, and reports claim chairman Steve Parish has “strongly contemplated” making a change.
It’s said that Parish has sounded out potential replacements – but he’s struggling to find a replacement who is willing to take over at this stage of the season.
That said, there’s a feeling of apathy and discontent at Selhurst Park and many supporters feel that Hodgson’s tenure is coming to an end.
But who could replace Roy Hodgson?
Steve Cooper is the favourite and is available having been given his marching orders at Nottingham Forest in December.
Cooper, 44, led Forest to promotion to the Premier League in 2022, ending a 23-year absence from the top flight.
And SunSport recently reported that the Welshman is keen to stay in the Premier League and would be “open minded” to a move to Selhurst Park.
Bo Svensson, who left his role at Bundesliga outfit Mainz by mutual honest in November, is next in the betting market at 6/1.
He’s joined by Julen Lopetegui, who may be open to a role having joined Wolves midway through the campaign in November 2022 – although assurances over transfer funds would likely be needed.
Graham Potter and Ipswich boss Kieran McKenna are next at 8/1 and 10/1 respectively, while Jose Mourinho makes an unlikely appearance at 12/1 following his departure from Roma.
